Avatar 3D

Tomorrow I will be going to watch Avatar 3D. This will be the very first time I watch 3D movies in the cinema. Furthermore, this movie will last for 2 hours and 43 minutes. I have no idea whether I will feel dizzy or not. But, I think I definitely will. Oh gosh.... I hope it will not be that bad after all.

2012

Watched this movie in Singapore with my friend. He treated me.

2012 is a nice movie, to me. I felt so sad when I saw all the people died helplessly. I am wondering, will it really happen to all of us on 2012, 2 years from now? I have no idea. If we never taking care of our environmental issue, I think sooner or later, this will happen.

2012 is still showing in the cinema. For those who have not watched, quickly go to the cinema near you and watch.

Final Destination 4

For 3rd week in a row, I went to watch movie in the cinema on weekends. The best part is, all 3 movies are horror and thriller movie: Murderer, The Orphan and Final Destination 4.

The storyline for Final Destination 4 is the same as the previous 3. One of the guy sees the vision on the crash, losing all their lives in the incident. Later, the accident is really happen and they manage to escape from the death. However, they don't know that death is actually coming after them one by one.

Final Destination 4 is really horror on some of the part. I think it is better than Final Destination 3. However, the first one is still the best.

The Orphan

* Don't read if you want to watch The Orphan in the cinema. Spoiler ahead.

Before watching The Orphan, I am thinking of watching another movie, District 9. After much consideration and asking the opinion from Nic, I went for The Orphan. I made a good choice for watching this movie. It is exciting and horror!

The story is very normal. A married couple lost their 3rd child while the lady is pregnant. After some time, the lady managed to get over the sad news and decided to adopt a new child. Of course, Esther is the one they adopted.

After Esther joined the family, many things start to happen. She is an evil. She started to make everyone thinks that the lady is the one who not taking good care of her. The lady investigated on her past and finally knew the truth. What is the truth? Who is Esther? You will get the answer if you catch this movie in the cinema near you.

I enjoyed the movie very much, however, the couple who sit beside me spoil my mood. They keep on talking and that girl, keep screaming here and there, especially towards the end. Oh man! I hate people who talking non stop during a movie. Irritating.

The Orphan and Murderer have a common point. It is related to the children. In Murderer, Aaron Kwok has a small little boy. Same goes to The Orphan, Esther is the little girl in the family. Both are evil. Opps... I have said something that I am not suppose to say. Haha, I told you earlier, don't read if you want to watch this movie in the cinema. It is your problem now for not listening to me. LOL.

Next, what movie will I watch? I think it will be Final Destination 4. Another horror movie. YEAH!

Murderer

I watched 2 movies for the last 2 weekends, Murderer and The Orphan. If you have not watched these 2 movies, and think of watching it, please don't continue to read on this post. Spoiler inside! If you still want to continue, don't blame me. It is still better for you to go watching without reading any reviews.

Murderer, a long awaited movie starring Aaron Kwok. It was released during July in Hong Kong. It only comes to Malaysia on August 27.

In this movie, Aaron acts as a cop, again. He is investigating on one case, where the murderer using the drill to drill the body of the victim, and let blood to flowing out, until he/she dead. During one of the investigation, Aaron got hit by someone and fainted while one of the cop was badly injured by the murderer. When Aaron awakes, he lost some part of his memory. He totally cannot remember what has happened.

While investigating, all the evidence seems to point back to Aaron. Aaron's best friend also started to suspect him. Is Aaron really the murderer? Or is it someone else? What will happen in the end?

With no doubt, Aaron's acting has become much better, if compare to few years back. In Murderer, his acting was fantastic especially near to the end of the movie. I am sure, Aaron will be nominating for the Taiwan Golden Horse Awards and Hong Kong Film Awards. I hope he can get the Best Actor for the Hong Kong Film Awards instead of the Taiwan Golden Horse. Aaron has won the Best Actor for 2 consecutive in the Taiwan Golden Horse but never win in the Hong Kong Film Awards.

Next, I will talk about another similar movie, The Orphan.

Things that I HATE when I am Watching Movie in the Cinema

1. Some brainless people who never turn off the cell phone. Phone rings, they pick up, and start to talk on the phone.

2. People who keep kicking your chair on your back, throughout the movie.

3. Some people like to discuss the storyline with their friends from the beginning until the end of the movie.

4. People who brought along their kids into the cinema and the kids start to make noise and cry during the show.

5. For those people who cannot watch horror movie, please don't go and watch it in the cinema. Just for God sake, buy DVD and watch it at home. At least, you can scream at anytime you want. The worst is, the scene is not scary they also scream non stop!

6. People who like to ask question about the movie. If you don't understand, can you just shut up and ask only the movie is finished?

7. People fall asleep while watching the movie and start snoring.

8. People who come in late and so coincidence, they sit at the same row as you. Disturbing!

9. People who sit at the same row as you, go to toilet for few times during the movie.

10. People who smoking inside the cinema. Last time I encountered this in the old type cinema. Now, no more. Phew.

I think I better stop it here. If not, it will be a long long list. I hope my friends do not fall under any category I mentioned above. LOL.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Just back from Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. Very nice movie and MUST watch it in the cinema. Bumblebee is still the cutest and coolest autobots among all. I like him so much. Never forget about Optimus Prime as well. I am not going to tell the story over here, just go watch it yourself. :)

The Storm Warriors

Since the last one, Stomrriders, it has been years for me waiting for this sequal. Previosuly, there are news saying that Aaron Kwok is no longer wants to act as Cloud anymore. But, after so many years, he decided to play this classic role once again. So happy about it.

Can't wait for this movie! It will only release by next year December! It seems like I still need to wait. However, it will be worth waiting and is a must watch for me.

Saw V is here!

SAW V is here! For those who have watched the series, you cannot miss this one. SAW V seems to be the finale for the SAW series. But who knows, maybe there will be SAW VI. But, it will be boring it the series just go on and on.

Below is the trailer, nothing much to see actually.

Enjoy.

Mamma Mia

Mei Yi SMSed me just now, asking me to join the Nuffnang invitation for the movie Mamma Mia in Penang. Previously, most of the movie invitation was held in KL. Now, all the Penangites have the chance to attend this Nuffnang invitation in Penang.

For what I have known, Mamma Mia is the song from ABBA. "Mamma Mia, here I go again....", I only knew this line of lyrics. According to Mei Yi, Mamma Mia is a musical movie. She got the tickets after writing a post about Mamma Mia. She asked me to go and join her with other Nuffnang members.

This will be a good chance for Nuffnang members to meet up. I asked Mei Yi, will ChanLilian go to this movie invitation as well? She just laugh and said she don't know. I have no idea either. I just think of meeting her, since she is a very popular blogger in Penang.

Mamma Mia, here I come!!! I hope I am not too late.

Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody

If you need to give yourself a powerful Manga Character name, what will it be? For me, I will choose "Ryuu". In English, Ryuu is dragon. Dragon is very powerful and I hope I can be as powerful as a dragon. I suddenly talked about this because of the movie Bleach. In Bleach, the main character called Ichigo Kurosaki which means first guardian or he who protects.

Bleach the Movie is going to show in the cinema on 11 and 12 June for 2 nights only. The title for this movie called, Memories of Nobody. All the Bleach fans must catch this movie in the cinemas near you. Tickets can be get by entering the zip code and date on the find theaters column, through the website.

Death Note

Death Note, a Japanese series based on the comic. It's all about a notebook from the death god. Anyone whose name is written inside the notebook will die. Light, an ace student found the notebook and started to use it. Criminal happens and L, the legendary detective has been appointed to investigate the case.

If in the real world, you can choose to have one supernatural characteristic, what will you choose? For me, I want to have the power to stop the time. Sometimes, I think that the time flies too fast. If I can stop the time, it will be good. I can finished all my stuffs, then only resume back the time. Nice huh?

For those who lived in US, you have the chance to watch DeathNote now. It's only shows in theater for 2 nights, 20 May and 21 May at 7.30pm, in most of the cinemas nationwide. You can get the ticket by entering the zip code in the search box on the website. Grab the ticket now while seats are still available.

Frontier(s)

For those who know me, they will know I am a horror movie fan! I like to watch horror or ghost movie, no matter in Chinese, Thai or English as long as there is a subtitle if the movie is in the language that I don't understand.

Few days back, Hoon told me about this latest horror movie called Frontier(s). I never heard of this movie. She asked me to check this horror movie out since she knew I will like it. I was quite busy that time and I didn't check on it until now.

I just watched the Trailer of this movie. From the trailer, it seems so exciting and horror. You can see they use axe to chop off people. Oh my.... Can you just imagine the scene? For sure it will be blood everywhere!

This movie is released in cinema on May 9. Frontier(s) DVD will be released 4 days later, which is on 13 May. This movie in unrated but it manages to get into the theaters. The story is about one group of people manage to escape from the police. They run and hide in a hotel. They are not aware that this hotel is actually own by a group of neo-Nazi cannibals.

Frontier(s), the horror movie that you must not miss, if you are a horror movie fan like me!

Rendition

Synopsis:
When Egyptian-born chemical engineer Anwar El-Ibrahim (Omar Metwalley) disappears on a flight from South Africa to Washington DC, his American wife, Isabella (Reese Witherspoon) travels to Washington to try and learn the reason for his disappearance. Meanwhile, at a secret detention facility outside the US, CIA analyst Douglas Freeman (Jake Gyllenhaal) is forced to question his assignment as he becomes a party to the unorthodox interrogation of El-Ibrahim.

I just finished the movie titled Rendition. CIA suspect the guy is related to the terrorist attack and get him from the airport. They torture him just to get the answer for the bombing attack. To me, it's not bad. But it's like so easy for Douglas to release El-Ibrahim. Will it be so easy? It just cannot persuade me. Reese Witherspoon's appearance was not much in this movie.

If you have time, watch it. If you are busy, can leave it aside. The trailer looks so nice but it's not really in that way. Trailer always show you the best part of the movie. That's the way they attract you!

What I have been up to

As you know, I went for the Christmas countdown. The experience was....... I don't know how to say also. I saw lots of youngster spray here and there. The environment was crazy! I think I'm too old for this kind of event anymore. :(

On Christmas day, I'm working night, I'm not really feeling well, as usual, headache.

Woke up in the afternoon on Wednesday, I was like no mood until night. Then, I think it's better for me to watch a movie. So, I decided to watch 200 Pounds Beauty. I selected the right movie, it's very funny! :) Attached is one of the song from this movie, Maria. You also can see the movie scene in this Music Video. Nice song!

After finished, it was already 11.25pm. I received Wiwiwawa's message. Oh, I almost forgot, I promised to have a recording session with him for his podcast. Have you listened to his podcast before? If not, you really need to go and listen. It's very unique. It's in Cantonese!! I think it was the night that I talked the most Cantonese in my life.

What we talked about? If you want to know, please stay tune with Wiwiwawa'a Lonely Classroom. I have recorded 2 episodes with him. I suppose to record 4 but it's too late and I'm very very sleepy. We will make it another time.

It's not easy to do a podcast, please support and leave any comment if possible. With the comments, only Wiwiwawa can make it better and better.

I Am Legend

Today, we have our department team building. We have it once per quarter. Every time, we tried to make it different by organizing outdoor activity but all of the time, we end up eating. However, today is a little bit different. We have a movie before eat. YES, eat again!

My colleague booked the ticket for National Treasure 2. I didn't watch the first show. Normally, the part 2 will have some connection to part 1. Due to this, I watched National Treasure last night. I have it downloaded long time ago, just that I didn't watch it. OK, done watching part 1 and waiting to go watch part 2 today. It's quite jam in Queensbay. Luckily, we manage to get a parking place.

The show starts at 2.15pm. The time was 2.10pm after parking. At this time, my colleague called. He said change movie to I Am Legend. Oh, OK, I want to watch that too. For the reservation tickets, you need to get it 45 minutes before the movie time. My colleague not manage to reach on time. The tickets were sold to others. That's why we end up with I Am Legend.

I Am Legend is the virus kind of movie. In New York, the virus is spreading and all human are dead, left the one and only Will Smith. He tried to find the antitoxin to cure the virus. Sounds familiar right? Yaya, it's somehow like Resident Evil but not really alike.

The whole movie is quite boring at some point (My colleague said so) since most of the scene (Almost all!!), Will Smith is the only one there. Oh.... Of cause, with his dog. To me, it's not that really bad. But the ending was not that good. Some parts are really exciting and some parts are scared me out. Will Smith's acting was great. He is really good at acting. Overall, It's just OK.

After the movie, we went for food. We went to Sakae Sushi at first but over there was too crowded and the seating was not that comfortable. So, we changed to Sushi King instead. No photos since I didn't bring camera. Cinema not allow cameras!! After Sushi King, we went Starbucks. We chit chat there, among colleague and my boss.

This team building can consider a good one although half of the team didn't show up. I said good because we can use up their budget as well. :)

Horror Movie

I like horror movie a lot. Friends of mine will know that too. Some of them said I'm crazy, always like to watch this kind of movies. Watch horror movie also consider crazy? What theory is that? Different people sure have different interests, right? I just ignore them sometimes. Who cares.... As long as I like it....

I've tried to watch horror movie alone in the cinema, ONLY me! I think that time still early and no one is going to watch that movie. So, I'm the only one. It's a thai movie, called Ghost Game. Not bad.

Purpose for writing this post is I want to introduce some horror/thriller movies for you to watch. I checked the movies website and found them.

SAW IV
This will be the movie I'va waited to watch, already can find the download link from internet, but it's the cinema version. I checked from the Singapore Yahoo Movies and knew taht SAW IV is showing in Singapore starting 8 Nov. In Malaysia, these kind of movies are banned, cannot go into the cinema. If it's still showing when I'm in Singapore next month, I will go to watch it! Hehehe. For those that don't know what is this show all about, you can check it from the internet. You need to watch from the first one then follow by SAW II and SAW III. It's a sequel. I can tell you one thing, SAW III is really freak me out. I'm dare to watch it without closing my eyes for the first time but I cannot do it again. Think of it also gerli liao..... Anway, it's Highly Recommneded!!

The Mist
The Mist is from Stephen King. I'm a Stephen King's fan. I read some of his book last time. I like. Stephen King's movie always so mysterious and horror. I like his previous movie like IT, Misery, The Langoliers, The Stand, The Shining, etc...... Another Highly Recommended movie!!

A disparate group of townsfolk barricade themselves in the local supermarket and struggle for their survival as the creatures outside grow larger and more dangerous, fighting to get inside with ever-increasing ferocity.
